Sloth
Who can you find in a tree?
It’s our friend from the jungle… the sloth, an animal with long arms and claws.
Why does it move so slowly?
The sloth is a creature that doesn't understand the concept of life on the go. But its slowness is an advantage – thanks to its minimal movement and fur colour that blends into the surroundings, predators often don’t notice it.
This camouflage only works when the sloth is in a tree. Climbing down is a risky attempt, because once on the ground, the sloth has no way to escape.
That’s why deforestation leaves sloths without shelter and more endangered than ever.
This is the reason why this wooden toy was created – to help children understand how important it is to protect animals. Otherwise, a day may come when it’s no longer possible to see a cute sloth hanging from a tree.
